Therapeutic Surfaces

 

 

Therapeutic surfaces assist in the prevention and healing of skin breakdown, more commonly known as pressure ulcers, pressure sores, bedsores and decubitus ulcers, are localized injuries to the skin and/or underlying tissue that usually occur over a bony prominence as a result of pressure, or pressure in combination with shear and/or friction.

 

Pressure-ulcer prevention and management guidelines recommend support-surface therapy to help prevent and treat pressure ulcers. We offer a range of support surfaces including pads, mattresses, and cushions that redistribute pressure.  There are entry level products to assist with the prevention of pressure ulcers to high-end products to promote healing and ongoing prevention.
