Barriers such as steps into your home can be addressed with the installation of outdoor stairlifts, wooden, aluminum or composite ramps systems or a vertical platform lift (VPL).  Anyone of these options will remove the barrier of having to deal with the steps to get in and out of your home.  If you are using a mobility device such as a walker or wheelchair, a ramp or vertical platform lift will allow you to safely transfer the device with you.  If it’s just you, a stairlift is a great option!  The vertical platform lift can also be installed as an elevator within your home to provide access to all levels.
